Tasting Notes: Syrah achieved exemplary ripeness in 2003 thanks to a long, very warm growing season. This wine features a particularly intense core of ripe blackberry and blueberry aromas and flavors layered with peppery spiciness and exotic game notes. Additional hints of licorice, cassis, and truffles contribute to the wine’s complex aromatics. The texture is smooth, rich and polished with wonderfully balanced acidity. While quite generously structured, the finish is harmonious and integrated while maintaining a sense of elegance and style.
