Port 2004 750 mL

The fruit for this Port was sourced from our estate's Cox's Rock and Cobblestone Hill vineyards. The true Portuguese grape varietals Tinta Roriz and Bastardo which grow in these blocks achieved exquisite ripeness thanks to a long, warm growing season. The aromatic profile features very ripe blackberries, jam, anise, and cocoa while the palate conveys black cherries, chocolate, minerals, and licorice. This is a rich, balanced, and concentrated wine that avoids being ponderous. It will develop sediment with aging, but we understand how truly difficult that can be. If unable to resist the temptation aeration will be of significant value, as will be the warm glow of the hearth and the Padron Diplomatico or Montecristo Torpedo #2.
