Deb moved to Oregon in 2018 with her husband and two children in 2018, and joined the Abacela team in August. She was born and raised in New Jersey with her love for cooking begining as a young child thanks to her mother who instilled the importance of fresh ingredients and home-cooked meals. Deb moved to Colorado after high school where she started her family and was fortunate enough to work in multiple kitchens and acquire extensive food knowledge.
After splitting 40 years between two states, a move to Oregon's wine country seemed an ideal spot for her family to begin their next chapter. With the move, she was given the opportunity to do what she loves most, make people happy with food! With the guidance and knowledge provided by Abacela's previous chef, Deb grew the confidence and skills to continue the tradition of pairing wonderful meals with Abacela's world renowned wines. Deb is proud to be part of such an iconic winery, whether it's planning pizza toppings for our popular TGIF Wine & Pizza nights, or preparing intimate dinners for our guests, these experiences and friendships that have grown over the years will be forever memorable.
